e-ARC Keeper

The e-ARC Keeper for 20-39 W Electronic HID Ballasts is designed for low-wattage applications. Like ARC Keeper HID Backup Ballasts, e-ARC Keeper units immediately begin providing supplemental power in response to an AC utility power disturbance. The e-ARC Keeper, however, feeds the electronic HID ballast rather than the HID metal halide lamp. The e-ARC Keeper will support the HID ballast for 30 seconds. Thirty seconds is generally enough time for the disturbance to pass or for an auxiliary generator to engage.

Because e-ARC Keeper units supply power to the eHID ballast during the transition to and from generator control, they allow HID metal halide fixtures to serve as emergency lighting units. Transitions without e-ARC Keeper support would extinguish the lamp arc.
