Benefits to Inverters
The Benefits of Micro Inverters
The Philips Bodine ELI™ Series ELI-S-20 Emergency Lighting Micro Inverter offers significant benefits. From its operation to its size, ELI-S-20 is a superior product. The unit provides code-compliant emergency lighting for Edison-base (screw-base) LED and fluorescent fixtures. The growing popularity of such fixtures in new and retrofit applications means the ELI-S-20 is a true “must-have” product.
Key Benefits
- ELI-S-20 is convenient unit equipment. This is in contrast to larger inverters that are typically centrally or remotely located because of size, weight or operating temperature. ELI-S-20 can, however, be remotely mounted up to 250 feet from the fixture. It can also be installed on the fixture.
- ELI-S-20 features a sinusoidal (sine) waveform rather than square waveform output. The sinusoidal waveform is characterized by very low harmonic distortion and by clean power similar to that produced by utility-supplied electricity. It is well suited for even the most sensitive LED lighting. In contrast, the square waveform is characterized by high harmonic distortion and is not well suited for sensitive electrical/electronic equipment such as LED electronics.
- ELI-S-20 was designed specifically for emergency lighting.
- ELI-S-20 utilizes highly reliable, high-temperature, maintenance-free NiCad batteries.
- ELI-S-20 packs important features, such as the sinusoidal waveform output, into a small, one-of-a-kind, low-power unit equipment product.
