Memphis in May - Best Booth Contest

Everyone comes to the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest expecting to taste great BBQ. What many people don't expect, however, is to be blown away by the effort some of the teams put into their booths. In order to get into the theme of the festival, many teams decorate their spaces in elaborate homage to each year's honored country.

The Bodine Cook Team has become known as one of the "must see" teams of the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest. Each year hundreds of BBQ fans stop, ask questions about and take pictures of our booth. Having consistantly received top honors in the Best Booth competition since our first entry in 2000, Bodine's site has been featured in the local news, on NBC's The Today Show and several BBQ specials on The Food Network.

Bodine takes pride in the fact that our booth layout, design and artwork is done 100% by the collaborative hard work of team members. To the awe of most teams, it is mostly five team members, Brad Van Frank, Mike Singleton, Clay Fowler, Angie Garcia & Bob Howe, who create each year's award-winning booth on the river bluffs.

To the Bodine Company, the best compliment we overhear each year is, "Wow. That's a tent?"
