Bodine's FEBnet™ Fluorescent Emergency Ballast Network and Odyssey™ Series LED Emergency and AC/Emergency Drivers were Category Award winners at Lightfair International 2004 in Las Vegas. FEBnet also received one of the event's six special recognition awards, the Technical Innovation Award. The Technical Innovation Award is presented to the Lightfair New Product Showcase entry that "represents the best leap forward in lighting technology excellence".
FEBnet's Best of Category win is in the Systems category. The Odyssey Series Best of Category win is in Ballasts and Transformers. There are 25 categories in the New Product Showcase, in addition to the six special recognition awards.
Product Information
FEBnet automates and integrates wireless testing and monitoring of all fluorescent emergency ballasts and logging of all emergency lighting activities within the network. Using proprietary software and hardware and a standard PC, FEBnet automatically conducts 30-second and 90-minute tests of emergency ballasts in the network and records and stores test results. It allows building administrators to manage their emergency lighting systems from a single PC and to centralize emergency lighting activities. FEBnet reduces the time and costs involved with testing and monitoring and makes it easy to comply with applicable emergency lighting codes. Check back for more information on FEBnet in the coming months.
Odyssey Series LED Emergency and AC/Emergency Drivers permit LED fixtures to serve as code-compliant emergency lighting. Odyssey drivers are designed to customer specification and operate high-brightness LEDs, including those from Osram Opto, Lumileds, Nichia, Cree and GELcore. They support 90 or more minutes of emergency illumination when normal AC power is lost, enabling an LED fixture to provide a minimum 90 minutes of emergency lighting, as is required by Code. Odyssey drivers operate LEDs at full light output in both the normal and emergency power modes and use a sophisticated, proprietary constant current sensing circuitry to ensure long life for LEDs and protect them from damage.
